The 1974 painting of the #Ife princess Adetutu Ademiluyi, known as #Tutu, a national icon in #Nigeria, and of huge cultural significance, became a symbol of reconciliation after Nigeria's Biafra conflict. Novelist Ben Okri said its discovery was "the most significant in contemporary #Africanart in 50 years". Mr Enwonwu, painted 3 versions of Tutu. All three went missing after his death in 1994. Limited edition prints of this work adorn many homes all over the world.
