PLEASE elaborate on the beni-kyoya cousins au im so intrigued
Haha alright.
So I imagine it's on kyoya's mother's side (I'm picturing the mother and aunt being twins) And their mothers both went to lobellia. Kyoya's mother was a little more studious while Beni's mother was just as dramatic as Beni, they definitely passed a lot of themselves down to their kids. Despite being different people, their mothers were very close and I imagine that kyoya, akito and yuuichi were the only dudes that Beni interacted with for her formative years. Obvious this interaction is little to none due to them being, yaknow; ootori boys. None of them understand socialisation.
Now of course, other then akito, kyoya and Beni are very much the messiest kids of the family. Beni is the dramatic theatre gay that's a little agressive and probably needs therapy and kyoya is the constantly irritated gay that's emotionally constipated and probably needs therapy. So it's safe to say that they have beef.
Now I imagine this beef is kind of once sided (like most of kyoya's beefs). I'm kind of picturing it mostly being over text, with Beni picking apart everything she hears about kyoya and just insulting him, and him responding with mostly one word or one sentence responses. Of course during the episode where the white lily league first appears, kyoya is sending much longer texts then that. Likely just complaining and blaming Beni for his new headache.
But of course he cares about Haruhi a lot, but a small part of him also cares about his cousin. So he probably spends at least an hour trying to explain to Beni what haruhis situation is and why it's bad to try and kidnap her. Obviously this is just a challenge for Beni, so the next episode happens and after that I picture Beni and kyoya having an actual argument over text where Beni pulls at insecurities that kyoya wasn't even aware she knew about, and kyoya just beats her over the head with the fact that she doesn't understand consent.
The entire thing is extremely messy.
