Reflection and Resolve

I don't do this type of thing very often, but figured why not? School has started back up so my free time is changing, but I still have some plans that I want you to know I'm working on. Consider this a final reflection of the fading summer and the music I've released over the last few months. I'm very thankful for the feedback from both Goodnight Tomorrow and The Skyline EP this summer. I'm currently working on a music video type creation for the song Forgive and Remember. I'm not sure how it will turn out, but I'm trying something kinda new, which I will hopefully have out in the world before the end of the month. I have plans to move towards some more cover material in the near future. There are a variety of different artists I really respect, and think I would learn a lot from dipping my toes into their material. As much as my intuition pushes me towards original work, I think getting some more experience with cover work will help my fundamental song writing ability as a whole. That being said, inspiration comes from all angles, and I'm working on new original music all the time. I'd really like to further develop my style moving forward, and there are certain changes I think are necessary to make in pursuit of the kind of sound that best delivers my messages. I'd appreciate your leniency as I experiment with these different genres :) In closing: this summer has been very inspiring to me musically. Even in the last month I've made significant changes to how I think about music and I have some very clear goals for what I want to work towards moving forward. No promises, but I have some very exciting ideas in the vein of improving my live performances. 😛 See you soon.
