Frisk wrapped their arms around his shoulders, pulling him close sothat they cradled his head against their chest. Papyrus began to pullaway, to move so that he would hug them instead. Their words madehim still, turning his focus from his spinning thoughts to listen.

His breath caught at the rhythmic thumping of the other’s chest. Oh,that was different.

Papyrus took their advice--he concentrated on the child’s heartbeat.Bit by bit he felt his tension relax, distracted by the new sound.
