Polius Reagan, NRC economics teacher, and Benjamin Briggs, RSA History teacher. Twisted from Basil and Ratigan from the great mouse detective
Briggs is a detective on the side and Reagan is a mobster who somehow got hired. Clearly NRC doesn't do good background checks. His mobster title is Ratigan, and Briggs has been trying to hunt him down for years now. What he doesn't know is that they went to school together, and Briggs stopped Reagan's plot to overthrow the then housewarden of Octavinelle in a not so friendly way.
If they were in twst proper, they would've met again during the SDC in book 5, Reagan instantly placing Briggs, but Briggs unable to realize Reagan's identity as Ratigan. However, knowing that Reagan is an economics teacher, he recruits him to the Ratigan case to help track Ratigan's funds. Meanwhile, Reagan is trying to throw him off the trail.
Reagan also works with many Octavinelle students, mainly Azul and the Leech twins, being somewhat of a mentor to them with Mostro lounge but also having them help with some of his dirty work. Azul has his suspicions about him, and when he notices that he's been spending time off campus with Briggs, he begins to put some of the pieces together.
