❝ there is mischief about. i feel it. ❞
Shaw's eyes narrowed. His brow furrowed. He went quiet, and looked back and forth. He did believe Exodus. The man was a telepath. Danger couldn't breach this place, it was too well-fortified, but mischief. . .mischief was another matter. Was it Wagner, here to bedevil him with obnoxious pranks? Shinobi, here to make some ill-attempt at murder yet again that didn't even need defenses against? Emma's feral pet from the sewers destroying some invaluable home decoration? Or-- "GAH!" Shaw exclaimed as something tugged on his trouser leg, pulling him out of thought, and he looked down to see a curly-haired, curly-horned urchin, one of Exodus's little flock of orphans. The child had the face of a cherub, but Shaw's expression suggested he was looking at a large slimy bug. "Please , sir, I need--" "YOU NEED A JOB IS WHAT YOU NEED!" Shaw bellowed at the little babyfaced beast, "DID BENNET LET YOU IN?! Bennet, keep your pet pests OUT of Blackstone! Both of you, begone! Out! Out!" They were immediately escorted away by security, not that they could have actually made the likes of Paris leave if he didn't wish. And that sweet little child never got to tell Shaw: I need to tell you that all your toilets are overflowing because my friends and I decided to see what would happen if we stuffed them all at once with your fur rugs and then flushed. @pryde-of-the-x-men @bennetduparis and tagging @bothsidesofaquestion and @emmatriarchy for muse mentions ^^
