I'm not trying to change your opinion of Thornton, and I never will. I have never really cared for any of the Pens, but I still believe what Thornton did was wrong and he got punished for it. I try to look beyond that and see the good he does in life
that's fine for you but it's completely different when it's your player that's attacked. when it's your player who's being carried of the ice on a stretcher bleeding everywhere. when you don't know if your player is going to be okay or if he's going to play again. a 15 game suspension wasn't near the amount of time he should've gotten and charity work doesn't matter at all. Sean Avery's done charity work, Todd Bertuzzi's done charity work, Matt Cooke's done charity work but that doesn't erase the shitty things you've done and it's fine that you can look beyond it but there wasn't much for you to look beyond.
