Casey set his own schedule so when asked what he was up to could really depend on any given day. That was how Casey ended up inviting Benny over when he checked in on him to see what he was doing because he really wasn’t doing anything at all. While he should be writing he was doing anything but and was far more interested in the pack of miniatures he’d ordered off Etsy. Casey wasn’t the most social of creatures but he was trying to branch out of his shell after moving to Aurora Bay. New start, new Casey though old habits die hard. That was why Casey tentatively planned for them to paint miniatures when Benny came over. He really only ever knew how to invite people in on his special interests as a form of friendship often being drawn to like minded people who shared the same likes as him or whoever was willing to put with what he wanted to do. So far Benny was the type of person who seemed up for whatever he wanted to do and he really liked that about him. It definitely made their friendship easier.
Casey had just finished getting out his paints when he heard a knock at the door. He left his project for a moment so that he could let Benny inside. “Hey,” he greeted him as he welcomed him in. “I was thinking we could order pizza or something from Fired Up if you wanted. I don’t really have any food in my house,” he offered as he went back up to setting up his coffee table as a makeshift art station. Really Casey was just hungry but he had company over so he thought he’d offer food to Benny as well.
