Chongyun buying Bennett an Aquila Favonia since he gets hurt so much but as soon as Bennett finds out that it’s a physical damage weapon, he insisted he continue to use the festering desire that Chongyun gifted him, saying he can’t just abandoned the sword that Chongyun took the time to purify for him.
And while that’s one of the reason, the main reason was because they were better as a team when he uses the festering desire and that he didn’t want a weapon that requires them to be apart.
