I loved my Bentleys. They presented the best of old world refinement and civility and they 'took to the road' as the two conniving used car salesmen from School for Scoundrels would say in seducing their customer played by Ian Carmichael. On one notable rainy night, one of my R- Types maintained 90 mph from Los Angeles to Palm Springs without concern to my three passengers--what could be more civilized than that?
