#repost • @unstudio_architecture Recognising the dynamic environment in which we live, with plenty of economic and social fluctuations, a resilient approach to the Piraeus Tower will contribute to its future-proof design. Our proposal breaks the building into a series of blocks, ensuring Piraeus as a vessel of life and of diverse activities. We also present Piraeus as a place of synergies; between natural and manmade, arrival and departure, rational and organic, cityscape and seascape. Here, inspiration is taken from these dualities in which a facade is introduced that performs as a veil; a play between seeing through and feeling protected, harnessing the wind and reflecting the water.
