okayyy okay.

Butterfly: trial 1 caterpillar, trial 2 CHRYSALIS, trial 3, beautiful delicate butterfly. Trial 1, they hoped for no change, trial 2, they were going through the effort of changing themself and melting themself down. Trial 3 they’re going to beautiful and kind for a bit then die.

dog - self explanatory, but their attachment to everyone is very . Loyal. The way they forgave everyone and their attacking tendencies… yes. Bonus if they’re a herding dog. Both for sheeps and rams.

mouse - mice are often in media (I have read 4 stories with mice take this) as something trying to be bigger than themself. Also, with the psychological experiment motifs, it connects even more.
