Médersa Ben Youssef (Marrakech) (English text below) مدرسة ابن يوسف بمراكش تحفة معمارية تعود إلى عهد الدولة المرينية، شيدها السلطان أبو الحسن المريني عام 1346م وأعاد السلطان السعدي عبد الله الغالب بناءها بين سنتي 1564 و 1565م وهي تمتاز بتناسق عمارتها وروعة زخرفتها. La médersa Ben Youssef est une ancienne école coranique et un joyau de l'architecture marocaine. Elle fut fondée par le sultan Mérinide Abou Al-Hasan en 1346 mais sa structure actuelle remonte au temps du sultan saadien Abdallah el-Ghalib qui en acheva la construction en 1564-1565. La médersa fut durant plus de quatre siècles un foyer d'accueil pour les étudiants en soif de connaissances, notamment en théologie. ‘You who enter my door, may your highest hopes be exceeded’ reads the inscription over the entryway to the Ali ben Youssef Medersa, and after almost six centuries, the blessing still works its charms on visitors. Founded in the 14th century under the Marinids, this Quranic learning was restored by the Saadian Sultan Abdallah El Ghalib in 1564-1565.
