we ( @esoanem @verbforverb @morkaischosen and a friend who is 'not on tumblr') have been performing experiments
30 seconds to read as many lines as possible. 1 point per line, half point for partial lines, 1 point deduction for mistakes or hesitation
asterisk indicates an attempt in old english. you will note most of us were not brave enough for this. we used the Heaney translation on the possibly erroneous grounds that it has good alliteration and that might make us faster
