The Drunken Engineer by Elbow - obviously I always love pretty much everything elbow do, always, but i’ve been listening to and loving this one A LOT lately, it’s just. so lovely. “fade up your smile and mute the pain//let’s fuck off round the world again” is probably my favourite line.
One By One by Against Me! mostly because it’s a Judas song, ngl. It’s probably a longshot that they’ll play it when I see them in December (although I haven’t looked at any setlists really, so who knows) but it’d be amazing if they did.

1. i have this one outfit that consists of my favorite jeans, any ol’ tank top, a flannel button-up that my dad gave me after he didn’t want it anymore (and is consequently 5 sizes too large), and a beaver necklace that he bought for me when i was very little, and it is my absolute favorite outfit to wear. i save that outfit for days when everything is going to work out. and everything always does. also i feel like my dad is hugging me lmao
2. i work a phone job at my university and in between calls is when i do most of my writing. 2 calls every 10 minutes, including a mad dash to write as much Gay Filth as i possibly can.
3. i take poetry i like and put a tune to it sometimes
4. the way i show my dogs (tonks the yorkipoo and patches the border collie) affection is by insulting them. “omg tonks you suck, god, you’re useless and despicable and i hate you” while cuddling. i tell patches that she’s a cow. in my defense she is black and white. she is pathetic (but not useless because she got her therapy dog certification over the summer!!!)
5. i harbor a deep and unyielding desire to learn how to speak greek
