Winemaker and manager of Beringer Brothers Winery from 1928-1956 was the “Father of California Wine Tourism”, Fred Abruzzini. He literally put Napa Valley on the map (and drew the first map) by bringing up the biggest stars like Clark Gable. He’s also called “Father of the Napa Valley” having mentored many of the great wine masters. Proud that he was my grandfather and a marvelous human being!
