We should stop worrying about more roles for women and start worrying about work for women. When women are better represented in the workforce, the roles will follow.

This is so brilliantly true.  It is not the job of Hollywood or pop culture to change society.  By it's name pop(ular) culture is a reflection of consumer demand.  Some art can try to change society, but not most movies.  Certainly not Marvel movies.  So if you want a female-fronted action movie, go spend as much money on Run Lola Run or Lucy as you do on Captain America or Man of Steel.
