So, this tea has quite the story. When people travel, and try to buy me tea, I usually tell them one thing: dont. Why? My tastes are far too weird for the average person, and - chances are - whatever they buy, I won't drink. (Unless it's Earl Grey.) . . In mid-June, my housemates made a trip to Germany. On one of their last legs, they stopped by a shop called @paperandtea. The tea they picked up? Makalu White - a spring 2019 Nepalese, bud-heavy white tea. . . It was like they read my mind. . . Information is sparse on the website. I have my guesses as to which garden/supplier it's from, but I'll keep that on the DL. The region it hails from is Hile. Can't say I've had a tea from there. The "Makalu" of the name - I think - refers to the fifth highest peak in the Himalayas. . . As for taste? Pure muscatel, high mountain wilderness winds. . . #nepal #makalu #whitetea #berlinteashop #paperandtea #firstteaofmyday https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz_l-OXhhqy/?igshid=v1ae7uv6o480
