Y'all! You should go read The Silver Eye by Laura Hollingsworth! She's an amazing artist, and the storyline is just *chef's kiss*
She works really hard on the comic and even has some extra things too, like a patreon account with bonus content, giveaways, a yearly calendar, an Etsy site, spotify playlists for the characters, and currently there's a secret santa even going on and it seems to be really fun. I'm planning on joining it next year :3

“Hey.”
Apen looked up to see Berlyne smiling down at him. She held out a parcel-wrapped box that was tied shut with string.
“This is for you.”
The parcel passed owners, and Apen inspected it from all angles. “Did you make this?”
“I did most of the work, but Dad got me the supplies and Chara…gave unhelpful commentary.”
Apen laughed and set the box down. “You really didn’t have to go through all this troub-”
He saw Berlyne’s expression and backtracked quickly. “I’ll open it now.”
Apen wasn’t the kind to rip off the paper from his presents, so he carefully removed the string and uncreased the wrapping, trying not to think about the argument he was about to have with Enel when they inevitably crossed paths. Shreds of wrapping from Enel’s earlier massacre still littered the floor.
The gift was fully unwrapped now, and he lifted it up appreciatively. “An advent calendar.” It was surprisingly heavy for its material (it was likely built from balsa wood) and brightly painted, with 25 marked squares meant to be popped out of their frames.
Of course, Apen was drawn immediately towards the inside of the boxes. Having his unique skillset honed for such an occasion, he smelled the chocolate immediately. “How did you-?”
“Dad has his ways. But you like the rest of it too, right?” Berlyne’s eyebrows raised, half-joking.
“It’s great! Really, thank you.” Apen’s brow suddenly furrowed. “But it’s already December 25th.”
Expecting another thunderous expression at his words, Apen cautiously peered up, only to find the opposite.
“I guess that means you’d have to open them all today.”
Apen’s eyes widened as he processed the words.
“Or sometime soon,” Berlyne added quickly. “Don’t eat them all in one sitting.”
“Thanks, Berlyne.” Apen grinned, before adding sincerely, “And the box is a work of art, too. I’ll keep it after I’m done.”
Berlyne snorted softly. “Good to know. Merry Christmas, Apen.”
Not one to be rude, Apen stood up and gave her a proper hug. “Merry Christmas!”
(He waited about a second and a half after she left before opening the first box.)

So I just read all of The Silver Eye webcomic, and it was amazing (if very confusing for a while. I should have read all the character profiles first, because I was getting pretty lost with all the names. It actually gave me Silmarillion flashbacks.) Anyway, I decided to doodle Berlyne, since I really like her design and attitude in general. If you haven’t checked it out please do, the art is beautiful! @thesilvereye
Berlyne found a roll of packaging tape and she is nudging it around with her nose and watching it roll around. When it falls over she gets down on her belly and stares at it real hard, like that’ll make it get up again.
So, the other day my sister read my memory loss AU and she told me that when she read about Ezra, she kept thinking of Apen...and that lead to us discussion who would be who in a crossover.
Apen of course would be Ezra (there are differences of course...but they have a few similarities too), and Berlyne would be Sabine, and so I had to draw this! (We figured out who other characters could be, though most of them are based on personality, Joe=Kanan, Noah=Zeb, Idony=Hera...and that’s all we got I think...maybe Blue=Ahsoka too...xD)
I like how these turned out, though I feel like Apen and Berlyne look a little younger than they should, oh well! Also, for any SWR fans I highly recommend The Silver Eye and vice versa too!

LePaul just came up to me and said, “I just saw the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life!”
Magpie was the only puppy upstairs, and she was getting lonely, standing at the basement door wailing. Berlyne heard her, got out of her chair, went over to the hearth to grab a block of wood, carried it over to Maggie and dropped it beside her for her to play with.
