Who are your favoite rpers?
[Okay, allow me to give a comprehensive analysis on some of my favorite RPers- because just mentioning them offhand isn’t really enough and doesn’t fit everyone’s tastes. Without further ado, here we go.
Shark Bait of squirrelsjr: Shark Bait is really smart and witty, okay? You can clearly tell that she knows exactly what she’s talking about, and treads a fine line between innocence and underlying mischievousness without making it seem unrealistic. She also makes her own animated icons (don’t steal them, or else you’ll get the most painful slap on the wrist)!
Rua of certainlysuperpaper and necrophadesoftheshadows: I first saw Rua when her Zorc was hamming it up with fuckyouandyourepitaph, and since then Rua has shown herself to not only be an excellent Zorc, but also a fully capable and believable Lambda (my Lambda, hisses the Bernkastel muse), and a really hard worker to boot. Also, she’s one of the few RPers that has a legitimate plot ongoing which manages to include others very tastefully!
Ryou of endlesshermit: Ryou’s writing may be a bit hard to read at first, because it is chock full of words that make the entire thing sound like purple prose. While it clearly is purple, and you'd think that automatically adds a negative connotation to his writing, this is not the case. His purple isn’t like a bruise, but rather adds to Seiga’s characterization as an old-fashioned but aristocratic lady soaked in wickedness.
Doctor-Mun of the-lonely-traveling-doctor: As a non-Whovian, I can say confidently that this Doctor actually makes me a little more interested in watching the whole show. Even while progressing in a linear motion of plot, their character’s desires retain a degree of humanity and cheeriness that drives them into despair and friendship- but ultimately is true to their Doctor, no matter what.
Zoey of muugenkairou, kigenmajou, etc.: I must say that Zoey doesn’t give herself nearly enough credit for the writing that she produces, but it’s really excellent. While she flip-flops inbetween her muses often, you can tell that a lot of careful thought is put into each one, and each thread has enough description to create a mood without going out of control.
Jor of bernkastel-of-miracles: Jor is a perfect Bernkastel, end of story, everyone else go home. I will freely admit that I looked up to them when I was first looking into the WTC community. They don’t need to write a lot in order to sound well. Also Jor works really hard on translation projects and does them well, A+ to them.
James of emeraldsorcerer and theatergoer: Okay, James has an OC and does it well. A lot of OCs fall into the pitfall of being underdeveloped and flat when exhibited on tumblr, but Sakana is developed and shows growth over the course of his stay on his account- which is hard to do without severe planning. Also, he managed to pull off the omniscient Auau on tumblr RP somehow and anyone who does that gets props.
Cagey of cagedingold: Now Cagey gets a mention because she is one of the people who can do something that I have tried to do and failed miserably at time and time again- the ability to write one-liners without detracting from characterization. I’m sure you all have seen me chomp on one-liners, but Cagey is an example of what to do and how to do it well. And they’re really fun, if you don’t mind your muse getting stomped on for a bit.
There are more people, but I’ve already ranted too much or they are less active, so I shall talk about them when they become more active, or I decide to write another textblob!]
Umimon World Tournament- Round 1 results and Second Round Information!

Now, because there are three people, I decided to make things a little more interesting. This time we'll go by Double Battle Royale rules! In other words, it will be three on three, and you can attack whichever player you want! For example, if it's Dlanor's turn, she can choose whether her Pokemon attacks Bernkastel or Lambdadelta, and if she wants, one Pokemon could attack one and the other attacks the remaining person! Whichever combination you think of works- you could even team up to get one player out of the way first! No holds bars!
Each player will have two Pokemon out on the field at once, and the traditional rules of a double battle will be in place. Like before, two dodges allowed per Pokemon, and this can go for attacks that would hit more than one party, like earthquake or surf for example.
The basic rules still apply!
The tournament round ends in two weeks- on Monday, October 14th, 11:59 EST! Good luck!

Rules and Regulations: Umimon World Tournament
Everyone finished on time! Congrats! Okay, now on to the rules! Since there are six of you, you'll be paired up. I ran you all through a random generator, and I'll be tagging you with the matchups!
Here are the rules:
To make things interesting, I'll allow your Pokemon to exhibit the abilities it has in its Pokedex descriptions! For example, Volcarona was used as a substitute for the sun, so if someone calls out a Volcarona in battle, the ground can start melting/ it'll be very hard to look at the field, etc. Let's make things interesting!
The matches will be held with parties of three Pokemon! So you can only fight with three Pokemon at a time, but if you advance, you can switch your party around.
No cheating! Once your Pokemon goes down, they go down! No revives, but I will allow hold items!
This runs like the Battle Tower, so each of the Pokemon are standardized at Level 50. Do the math as you must.
Each Pokemon can only dodge an attack twice per matchup. That means that you have six dodges total, but no more than that! Otherwise then it just gets really infuriating, unless you do something like Double Team that messes with evasiveness.
Please tag each of your threads with your opponent's username and the tag Umimon World Tournament! I will be checking up on each one of you, and Bern will be the referee.
You have one week (See: Thursday, September 26th, Midnight EST) to have your match! The Witch with the most Pokemon remaining will be the winner, if not all Pokemon have fainted by then.
Communication is essential! Feel free to contact your partner or the mod (yours truly) if you have any questions, just ask!

[Uhm…Well okay. This was fun to think up.
We open this kingdom with Empress PlumTea and the other Empress Ryou, and they are not married as much as they are troll-buddies.
Next would be the two dukes, Shikei and James, who take care of most of the new converts.
Third would be the marquis Erika-Mun and Rika-Mun, who are not as active now, but do their duties well when they are present for the imperial meetings.
Then would be the viscounts Eva-Mun and Miku-Mun, making muses here and there but still can never make as many muses as Shikei.
And then a bunch of other people that slipped my mind.
In the neighboring country of WTCTumblr is the Tsar Jor and Tsarina Sare, in charge of looking rather impressive from afar.

The Witch's Senate (Open to Witches)
The great hall of the Witch's Senate lay cold and unfriendly, even with the ornate furnishings and carefully colored paintings that decorated the area. It was to be expected, of course- Witches had far better things to do than make sure a simple room was welcoming, even if the most powerful Witches dictated the happenings of the Sea within its halls.
Materializing on her assigned chair, plush but still uncomfortable, Bernkastel held the invite idly in her hand. How she hated these meetings, as important as they were. It was nothing but a show of opulence and absurdity.
The first ranked Witch that would usually lead the meetings was nowhere to be seen. Unusual but not the most unusual. Still, Bernkastel so hated to be the first to arrive at these stuffy events.
Topic: wine or tea?
“It’s most obvious that tea is far superior. Wine is an acquired taste, one that mot should have. I must say that for tea, black tea with plums is the best and for wine, a deep red Chianti is wonderful.”
[I like Rioja wine the best. Their blends are delicious! As for tea, plum tea is good, but I think Kava cinnamon tea is the best.]
