Yuyu Hakusho
A 15 year old delinquent loses his life as he saves a little boy from getting hit by a car. He gets the chance to prove himself as worthy of being revived and starts working as a ghost detective.
Comedy, Drama, Adventure, Shonen, 112 episodes.
Pro:
The Art style is drop dead gorgeous.
The clothing choices and aesthetics are great.
Strong female characters. Mentally and physically, old and young, shy and badass.
The dude who made it is married to Naoko Takeuchi, the Mangaka of Sailor moon and it's obvious in the way he dresses his characters. Both shows have a similar aesthetic.
One of the main characters big sister is a chainsmoking, cursing and ass kicking girl that doesn't give a single fuck.
The male characters are actually likeable.
Con:
Male protagonist and most of the main cast.
Not too heavy on fanservice, but it's here and there.
It's a shounen and therefore has lots of fight scenes. I'm usually not too fond of fighting or tournament arcs, but I like them in yyh.
Uhm. There is a scene where the main character has to fight someone and then gropes them, revealing that said person is born male. Could be distressing for people with gender dysphoria or for (GC) women because they say something around the lines of 'my body may be male, but my soul is female!'
