We won’t be having the usual apple pie for my birthday dessert this year. Lots of reasons — all good, involving other celebrations (graduation, bat mitzvah). So, on the day of my birthday (next week) when it’s dinner for two, I’m thinking about this for dessert. Sautéed Strawberry Shortcake. Biscuits already made and frozen; whipped cream is a cinch. Fresh berries OR if they aren’t wonderful, a quick sauté in butter and brandy. Berry Cobbler vs. Berry Shortcake

We're having a Berry Shortcake vs Berry Cobbler Royale over here. I really want to make cobbler, and Drake really wants me to make shortcake! AHHHH! I could do both, but I don't have enough stomachs around to eat a cobbler and shortcake! We already have a pie in the fridge. Boy oh boy, I can't wait to have my 14 year old's stomach in the house! I know he would take care of it. =)

EDIT: We made a total flip and decided to have Belgian waffles with a berry topping! =D <3 YUM!
