âFellas, câmon... Letâs not be unreasonable, hm?â
Well, this was quite a scene, wasnât it? Heâd hoped the move to a different city might mean reduced crime rates, but it seemed like things just couldnât ease up for long. Somewhere, somehow, someone was going to make the decision to mug some poor guy in the streets, and he was going to have to step in.Â
Give or take a few couple dozen people coming out from the rafters, some more well-dressed than others. Seriously, what?Â
âI take it... you were expecting me to show up here, or something?âÂ
One particularly gaudy-looking gentleman stepped forward with a rather menacing glint in his eyes. By now, the person who was being mugged had long since fled for their life.Â
âWe been gettinâ a lotta trouble from youâse âheroâ types. Causinâ a right mess for our line âa work. Figured weâd make an example out of one âa ya, show we mean business.â He cracked his wrists, sliding a pair of brass knuckles on. âWe already got some electric golden freak punchinâ our boys through walls, we gotta draw âda line somewhere. So, you gotta do, pretty boy.â
âThatâd explain the welcoming committee here.â Naturally, the wizard didnât seem particularly bothered by his situation. For a moment, heâd pause, looking above the scenery, before glancing back at the thugs surrounding him. â...You mind if I ask you a question?â
Relatively nonplussed by the sudden request, the thug tilted his head a bit. âWhatâs that?â
âHow much thought did you put into this?â His Driverâs already active, the Flame Ring going straight for the scan. âNot much, Iâd bet. Especially given the... Ah, well, Iâll just let you look up and realize for yourself.âÂ
And while that distractionâs going, heâs going to let his Driver handle the rest of the talking.
