Sam Amidon’s self-titled album is due on October 23 on CD/digital and January 22 on vinyl. On the album, which Amidon produced, he performs radical reworkings of mostly traditional folk songs, joined by Shahzad Ismaily, Chris Vatalaro, Sam Gendel, Bert Cools, Ruth Goller, and Amidon’s wife, Beth Orton.
