Max not looking was foreshadowing mostly her s4 plot with him, but also her fate in s5 obviously, while the other three was foreshadowing their memory of the shed scene and memories mentioned in the shed scene being ‘stolen’ by vecna (who was present for that btw), including Will’s birthday, which is a concept yet to be explored in s5, as one of the plans vecna has had under his belt for a while to succeed in getting Will to join him…
