I just made the best cake ever from a box. Here's how:
1) go to the store
2) buy any box mix (I used white because I already had it at home)
3) make the mix like normal BUT
3.5) before putting in your eggs, separate them
4) put the whites in the mixer until soft peaks form
5) fold 'em in with the rest of the mix (it might be weird and lumpyish but that's ok)
6) bake it (it will not take the same time as the box says, so chuck it) until lightly golden brown on the top
7) Take any frosting you want (i used fudge frosting because, again, I already had it, and it goes well with white)
8) Get some softened SALTED butter (if it isn't soft, you can put it in the microwave for 5 sec intervals until soft)
9) Throw both the butter and the frosting in the mixer until smooth (don't overmix but don't under mix. You don't want it to fall off the mixer whisk. Instead, you want more like soft peaks)
10) Take yer cakes out and let them cool completely
11) slap that buttercream frosting onto your fluffy cakes and BOOM
12) you just made the best cake ever. Go brag to your colleague who likes to bring in her fancy desserts all the time.
Olive Oil Cake. Simple and excellent. If making in a springform pan, do not let drip.
Olive oil has a low smoking point. Opening windows in winter is cold.
Excellent outcome and aesthetically pleasing with fantastic taste. Remember to check for test toothpick clean when poked. If not bake more. Don’t be that person.
This olive oil cake recipe from Maialino Restaurant in NYC has a crackling crust and aromatic oil-rich middle. It's irresistibly moist, rich
Fic: Aziraphale/Crowley - Ice Cream Cake
Please feel free to send me any prompts. More of my fics here. This prompt comes from a private list made by an amazing group of friends from the Ace Omens server as a birthday gift to me, which I am filling in a random order.
Crowley stares at the thing on their bench.
The thing on their bench does not stare back, but not for lack of trying. There’s certainly enough sugar in the thing for it to start developing a consciousness. Or at least mean someone eating it believe they’ve developed five.
It is also covered in rainbow sprinkles. Crowley approves of the rainbows - they piss enough people off for something so bloody pretty - but not the sprinkles. On a monstrosity.
‘Angel!’ he cries when the thing refuses to reveal its secrets. ‘Angel what is this?’
‘Oooh,’ Aziraphale says as he pokes his head around the corner. ‘It’s defrosted!’
Crowley just gives him his best raised eyebrow. ‘What is it?’
‘Ice cream cake,’ Aziraphale says with delight as he fetches a glass and, using it to push the bottom of the cake up, gets the ice cream cake out of the box.
‘...why did you do that? You could have just miracled it ready!’
Aziraphale glares at Crowley as he puts the cake on a plate and grabs the spoon. ‘It tastes better like this. Would you like a slice?’
‘Of ice cream cake?’
‘Yes.’
Crowley would very much like a slice of that sugar filled monstrosity. ‘Does it even count as cake if it’s ice cream?’
‘Well, not with that attitude.’ Aziraphale grabs another spoon. ‘So you want some then,’ he says with the certainty that comes from someone who watches Crowley put five teaspoons of sugar in his coffee every morning.
Feeling seen, Crowley takes the spoon. ‘Isn’t this big enough for eight people?’
Aziraphale shrugs and digs in. ‘Should be enough for us both.’
Yeah, fair. Crowley digs in, sharing the whole cake with his husband.
This Chocolate Cake recipe is very special and I bet you have never eaten such a Chocolate Cake! ;))

HELP!
Searching a post about a cake recipe from Norway
A few days ago a recipe crossed my dashboard. I thought I like to try that but forgot to like the post. I can't find the post.
Here is some info:
- OP makes the cake about once a month
- OP found the recipe on a blog, but than the blog was deleted and gone was the recipe
- than OP found the recipe again
- their co worker would kill them for the recipe
- the recipe is from Norway or called Norway something cake
- it's the best cake in the world
- the picture contained a cake in a square form
- it contains a good amount of butter
- OP or reblogger mentions that the cake awakens a feeling of cosiness and wanting to eat the cake when it's really cold outside
Please tag me! And thank you so much for your help!
Reblog is appreciated.
