I got an update on my post 812195136071237633/i-was-told-today-that-one-of-the-chat-agents-on-my and it’s so ridiculous and stupid that it made me laugh. I overheard the manager of the video chat department speaking with my coworker and that coworker started talking to my other coworker about brainstorming ideas. I’ll name my coworkers K and R. So when a customer wants to initiate a video chat, they have to enter some basic contact info, but none of it is required so some customers can leave the form blank and are still able to start a video chat. K suggested making it a requirement where the customer is forced to enter in their email address twice to “verify” themselves and R suggested that we should have add a program that runs a background check on the email address entered to see how old the email address. I don’t know how these 2 came to this conclusion because neither of these options are going to do anything to resolve this issue. The email address isn’t some sort of indicator that the customer isn’t a bad person. Personally I think it would be best to get rid of video chats altogether because from what I’ve been told many customers don’t show up to their appointments, the manager is somehow struggling to keep track of the appointments, it doesn’t always lead to a purchase because the video chats are meant to let customers see and ask questions about products in store, it’s an understaffed department because it’s just sales associates from different departments in the store and the appointments are assigned to whoever’s available, and there have been complaints about agents not being prepared for the appointments, but that’s because of the lack of information the customers provides when they booked the appointments. So aside from the perverted creep issue, there are many reasons to discontinue this free service. It’s underperforming and the company isn’t allocating enough resources to help make it work, so why keep offering it??? I haven’t said anything because then I look like the bad guy that’s giving up on the department but really I just think it’s a waste of time and I can’t stand wasting time on a stupid idea.

What's your advice for surviving college

I'm giving my advice based on the idea that you are also an American because you call it college, may not be relevant if you're not.

Staring with my academic advice:

#1: Do the damn reading. Genuinely, if you have assigned reading in a class, DO IT! Especially if it's a seminar style class, because the reading is the whole point of those classes!

#2: Participate in class. Ask and answer questions, make comments. Related to this, go to class. You're paying to be there, every class you choose not to go to is you wasting money. Obviously if you're sick that's one thing, but I know people who signed up for classes and then just never attended because it was at 8 AM or something and that's a terrible idea.

#3: Show that you are a consistent and hardworking individual and Professors will be willing to accommodate you when you need it. I always did my work and showed up to class and actively participated, so when I did have a depressive episode and needed a bailout for some assignments, my professors were more than willing to give me extensions.

#4: Don't be afraid to ask for help! Go to office hours if you're struggling, see if your college has tutoring programs, straight up tell your Professor you don't know what's going on. No one wants you to fail out of college, they want to do their best to help you succeed.

#5: As a related point to the above, if you have a diagnosed disability by a doctor, go to your school's academic services department and set up accommodations. It may not be as elaborate as your IEP plan from high school, but again assuming you're an American, your university does still have to follow the ADA and provide reasonable accommodations for you that your professors have to follow legally. I've had people I knew who had accommodations like being allowed extra time for tests, taking tests in separate rooms, being permitted to take notes digitally, and things like that.

Now onto my social advice:

#6: You will probably feel homesick your first few months of college. For me, my homesickness really kicked in during October of my freshman year and I ended up calling my mom and crying because I was lonely and missed her. As much as it sucks, you will get through that feeling. Visit home when you can to help, though.

#7: Join clubs! I made most of my friends at college when I joined the creative writing and tabletop gaming clubs. It's the best way to find people with similar interests to you! Your college will likely have some kind of club fair or recruitment event, and clubs will often put up posters to catch interest, go and have a look around and at least try out a couple to see if it's a good fit.

#8: You don't have to be best friends with your roommate, but you should regularly communicate with them about things like your schedule (will you be getting back at 1 am? Warn them. Do you have an 8 am class you're going to need to set an alarm for? Warn them.), how neat you are or not neat, and any allergies you have. For me, I was lucky enough to end up being really great friends with my roommates so we openly talked a lot and knew what the others needed. I actually ended up rooming with the same few people all four years in suite style housing because we liked each other. You may not be so lucky, but you still need to communicate about your shared living space.

#9: Make time to see people! There's a lot of freedom in a college schedule, and that can sometimes make it tempting to just kind of hang out and not do anything, especially if you're an introvert like me. But you will feel bad if you're not regularly getting some socialization in outside of classes. If you don't join any clubs, and even if you do, the best way is to get people's numbers and meet up with them for meals or studying or just to hang out.

Some misc advice:

#10: At least try to make some kind of schedule or routine for yourself. Like I said above, college has a lot of freedom you may not be used to and that can be overwhelming. Make a routine that you do every day to some degree to help with that.

#11: Energy drinks are not good for you and energy drink cans are not decor. Do not replace sleep with energy drinks or coffee.

#12: Drinking is also not good for you. Party responsibly and in moderation. I didn't go to a party school, in fact I went to a dry campus, and none of my friends drank when we hung out so I can't speak on this a ton. But I do know people who went to parties regularly at other colleges, and a lot of them ended up going hard into partying, realizing it wasn't good for them, and finding moderation along the way. Try to keep it to weekends at the very least.

#13: Get all your shots since you're living in communal housing, both for your sake and everyone else's. If you feel sick, go to whatever health center they have on campus to make sure it's not something contagious.

#14: Speaking on communal housing, please regularly wash yourself and your clothes. I know this seems obvious, but we had a girl on my floor one year who smelled so awful we had to have a floor meeting about personal hygiene because she would literally cause the entire hallway to smell like BO. Some people go to college really not knowing how to do laundry. Please figure it out before you go rather than doing trial and error there.

Chaos Part 1

The Hood's newly formed Chaos Crew cause chaos across the globe, and International Rescue has their hands full.

Fuse is voiced by Craig Stein, he's appeared in a bunch of shows and movies.

Havoc is voiced by Aimee-Ffion Edwards, she is best known for being in Skins, Peaky Blinders and is currently in Slow Horses.

Captain Wayne Rigby is voiced by Marc Silk, he's does a lot of voice acting for other animated shows and did a lot of announcing for other TV shows.

Also I give a shoutout to Shelley Longworth (TV show, Benidorm) who voiced the Arctic operator.

Wow can't believe were at season 3 already, time goes so fast. I will be pointing out any foreshadowing for episode SOS part 2.

The episode starts off with International rescue who are very busy on missions. Then it's cut to John who's getting a lot of calls for help.

Then he gets a call for help from someone in a crane, who said that someone set of a charge and the crane could come down, which John realises that it was caused by the Chaos Crew. It cuts to them causing a lot of chaos and The Hood is watching them.

Scott has arrived at the cranes, he helps the first guy but needs more help but John tells him that everyone else is busy .

But then John detects something is coming and hope's it's not the Chaos Crew. It turns out to be a robot which is programmed to save people too. But then there is another explosion, another detonator left by Fuse. The 2nd crane is about to fall but the robot gets the other guy out. The robot even asks Scott if he required medical assistants.

On the way back to Tracy Island, Scott is telling Virgil about the robot and is now following him but is not sure if he should bring it to the island until he knows who built it. But then John tells him that Colonel Casey wants to speak to him. and patches her through, Scott asks her if she knows anything about this robot but we don't hear the rest of their conversation.

Then it cuts to Tracy Island with Scott telling the others what this robot is. it's called a Rescue Operation Robot. Apparently this one went missing from the GDF lab before there big unveiling and there are more of them and GDF want to help with rescues.

Gordon thinks they are going to be replaced but Scott tells him not replace but help with the low priority situations. Virgil says that with the Chaos Crew on the loose they could use all the help they can get but Gordon says they should focus on catching them and leave the rescue stuff to them.

Scott says they are welcome to test this robot out and Brains can look inside it, which Brains is excited about and Gordon tells him to break it.

Scott also says that Colonel Casey is confident in catching the Chaos Crew and that she has Kayo.

At the GDF headquarters, Kayo is introduced to Captain Wayne Rigby who's been assigned to help catch the Chaos Crew but he's not exactly talkative.

Then it cuts to The Chaos Crew arriving at there Chaos Cruiser and The Hood tells them he's got a new assignment for both of them and to cause as much chaos as possible.

Back in Colonel Casey's office. Kayo talks to Rigby but he tells her he doesn't want her hear and doesn't want a rescue service to advise him and tells her to leave the bad guy catching to them and IR can focus on saving kittens from trees but then says they won't be able to do that soon either.

Then Colonel Casey (who was on the phone) asks Rigby for any information on The Chaos Crew but he doesn't have much info so Kayo says if they could fill in few blanks and ask Lady Penelope to come in and they show a lot of information on Havoc and Fuse , which Rigby wasn't happy about.

Then it cuts to Fuse in the Artic and then a Arctic operator is telling The Hood that she's refusing his offer, we don't know what this offer is. Then Fuse uses his detonator to blow a side of the mountain which the operator sees and she tells the Hood that he's not doing a good job at trying to blow them up but he just laughs and tells her that would be too easy. so Fuse uses his power punches to cause the ice to break up and the Polar Explorer Station have fallen through the ice and into the water.

It then cuts back to Tracy Island with Brains looking at the robot and Gordon and Alan are shoving each other trying to take at look.

John then contacts them about the Polar explorer station have fallen through the ice caused by Fuse. he's already told the GDF and Virgil says that he and Gordon will take it.

Then it cuts back to Colonel Casey's office and rigby wants to get fuse but then Kayo says they could catch Havoc as TB5 sent her where she is.

Then in Thunderbird 2, Gordon who is already in Thunderbird 4 is complaining about the robot, he thinks it doesn't like him and even thought it winked at him, LOL.

They arrive at the Artic, Virgil puts the module down and Gordon goes to try and safe the people. He first deploys the grasping arms but then the robot does too, which Gordon wasn't happy about so he deploys the airbags instead and it starts lifting the station out.

But then Gordon sees that Fuse has left a detonator behind and it goes off and Gordon gets caught in it's shockwave. So we get our first bit of foreshadowing here of Fuse nearly hurting Gordon.

The station starts falling and Gordon notices the robot isn't around and he starts complaining that it should be helping but then it appears and helps lift the station out and Gordon even says he loves these things.

Then it cuts to Kayo and Rigby going after Havoc in some storage building. Rigby tells Kayo to split and cut her off and not to engage her but as Kayo is about to him something he cuts her off and tells her that's the plan are we clear.

But as they are going after Havoc, Rigby does some hand signals at Kayo but Kayo stops him and tells him she doesn't know what that nonsense means and that Havoc can see everything so there was no point at trying to be stealthy. He asks her what she suggests and Kayo tells him to wait here as she's got idea.

Kayo catches Havoc using her grapple and then it cuts back to Rigby and we hear Kayo and Havoc fighting but don't see it but then we see Havoc tied up behind him. Kayo tells him she gift wrapped her for him and Rigby apologises to her

Back on Tracy Island Colonel Casey asks Brains opinion on the robot, Brains tells her that he went over it and doesn't have any concerns. Scott says that these robots can help them so Casey tells him she will activate them and then cuts off.

Scott then thinks he hopes he doesn't regret it. Brains tells him that he uses robots all the time but Scott tells him that its different that lives are at stake. They make split decisions in the field and he doesn't think a robot can do that.

Then it cuts back to the Hood and Fuse tells him that Havoc got captured by the GDF but the Hood says that the GDF is going to find out why they call her Havoc.

Then it cuts to Havoc being put into a room and she is able talk to the Hood telling him that she's in, so getting captured by the GDF is there plan.

Then the Robots are activated.

Chaos Part 2

The roll-out of R.O. BOTS leaves International Rescue with little to do until a bot malfunctions during a sky-transport rescue operation.

The episode starts off with John picking up a distress call from space and tells Tracy Island that they may have a situation which Alan goes for it but Gordon tells him it's only a situation which Alan says close enough and goes down his launch chairs.

But then is stopped and John tells him that a GDF Robot has the situation in control and we see that Alan is half dressed.

Later Alan says he's sick of scrubbing missions (whatever that is), apparently they haven't had a proper rescue in 2 days, not even a cat up a tree. Gordon says that they've been replaced and before long the robot overlords will be controlling everything.

Then it cuts to the robots saving someone from a balloon, from a mountain and 3 of them saving a kitty from a tree.

Then it cuts to GDF headquarters and Rigby is annoyed that Havoc is not talking and not telling them know where The Hood and Fuse are hiding out, so he goes to try again even though Kayo tries to discourage him.

He goes to the room where Havoc is being held and demands to know where Fuse is, but it turns out it's a hologram and the real Havoc is standing in the corner and as Rigby stupidly leaves the door open, she escapes.

Then it cuts to John on Thunderbird 5 seeing all these distress calls but the GDF is dealing with them and Scott thinks that they think maybe out of the job.

Then John pics up a automated distress beacon from the high altitude civilian transfer station. He says there's something wrong with the rotor blades that keep it flying and when it tilts the 2 elevators could crash into each other. Scott then goes for it but then the GDF robots end up getting it instead.

On the elevators, it starts to have problems, John tells the people that help is on it's way, which one of them thinks IR is coming but John tells them the GDF are sending a robot.

Back at the GDF headquarters. Kayo and Rigby are searching for Havoc. Rigby wondered how she still had tech with her to help her escape as they searched her 6 times, maybe they should of taken her suit off too. Kayo tells him that she let herself be captured and is after something.

Then we see Havoc hiding and then touches keypad to take down the GDF fliers. Then she goes into a room and takes a case. Then she confronted by Kayo and Rigby.

It cuts back to the elevator and guy tells John that there's nothing coming so John tells Tracy Island and lets them know that robots aren't doing anything.

Back with Kayo and Rigby, Rigby tries to get Havoc but Kayo hears something and pulls Rigby back and there is a explosion causing a hole in a wall which was caused by Fuse and Havoc escapes.

Rigby wants a plane, but they are down, so Kayo goes after them.

Back on Tracy Island Brains says that the robots are caught in a feedback loop, there programming can't decide what to do between 2 rescues (something like that anyway). Alan says that a human wouldn't be having this problem and says he's going up there and Scott says we all are, which Alan says they glad to be back in action.

Scott tells Alan to head to the elevators to see if he can evacuate the passengers, while he and TB2 will try to level the platform.

Back with Kayo who caught up with the Chaos Cruiser and the Chaos Crew noticed her too and hope to out run her and fuse shoots missals at her which keep following her.

Kayo contacts Lady Penelope asking her if they have counter measures. Penelope tells her not that she could find. Kayo notices something going on with Penelope and asks if she's ok, Penny tells her they got a situation of there own here. Kayo asks her if they need help but she declines as they got it under control. Then it cuts to Lady Penelope home, with her and Parker outside with a robot and Sherbet is on the roof.

Back at the elevator platform. John tells Scott that a pilot in a escape plane doesn't want to leave the 2 other people in the station. Scott tells John to tell that pilot to go and he will get the other 2 people and take the new sky pod over, which is the only time we see it. Virgil even moans why does Scott always get the best gear, lol.

Virgil and Gordon fire some electro magnet to get control of the platform but it doesn't work. Gordon says they need the rotors back in sync, Virgil asks him if feels like taking a walk, which Gordon replies, out there!! and Virgil jokily says rather he asks the robot to do it which Gordon says he will use his gecko gloves, which we saw them test out in Home on the Range.

Alan says there is no airlock and suggest cutting them free but Virgil tells him that will be bad as one will crash down to the ground and the other one will go hurtling into space.

Back with the Chaos Crew, Fuse is board so Havoc gives him the case she took, which turns out to be a controller for the robots.

Then it cuts to Gordon climbing up the platform and he nearly gets hit by those robots, so another possible 2nd bit of foreshadowing that Gordon gets hurt by Fuse,

Gordon tries to dodge the robot and even asks Virgil for help, who hits it with something.

Then another one aims for TB2 and Virgil asks Brains how to shut them down, which Brains says they can't. Virgil suggests using demolition missals on it but Brains says that won't work and we see him and Max having trouble with there own robot.

Then it cuts to Penelope and Parker and the robot is chasing Parker.

Back with Kayo, and Colonel Casey tells her the module control for the robots was stolen and at the moment only causing the robots to malfunction but if they gain total control of them they can be turned into weapons. So Kayo will get that controller back and even lands on the Chaos Cruiser but Havoc and Fuse notice that too.

Back with Alan he decides to pull a few strings to help them out, original show reference. So he pulls the cables to separate the 2 elevators.

Back with Kayo, she gets on board the Chaos Cruiser but no 1 is there but then Fuse appears and tries to grab her but she dodges him and then Havoc appears and opens the door on the floor but Kayo dodges that and grabs the controller and leaps outside.

Back with Gordon and Virgil and another robot tries to attacks so Virgil shoots those other things at it holding it down. But another robot fires a laser at him.

While Kayo gets back into Thunderbird Shadow, Scott and the 2 other people are also getting chased by the robots and Kayo shuts down the robots.

One of the guys thanks Scott and he tells him, you have know idea how nice it is to hear that.

Gordon fixes the rotors and the elevators are now back in sync. The robot even asks Gordon if they need any help, which Gordon tells it they got it and the robot flies off and Gordon is a bit annoyed with it.

Then we see the robots being put away and Colonel Casey tells Scott that she decides to suspend the robot programme, Scott tells her it was a good idea in theory but robots can't think like people do.Kayo thinks that they were after something bigger than controlling robots.

The it cuts to the Hood and the Chaos crew. It turns out that The Hood wanted to find out where they were keeping the Mechanic, he's being held in a space prison called The Hex. Then it cuts to he Mechanic in The Hex without his mask on.

New Features/Improvements

✨ *NEW* Queue & Schedule - One of the most highly requested features has finally arrived at Pillowfort. Users can now effortlessly Queue or Schedule a post for a future time.  

Queue helps keep your Pillowfort active by staggering posts over a period of hours or days. Just go to your Settings page to set your queue interval and time period.

How to add a post to your queue: 

While creating a new post or editing a draft, click on the clock icon to the right of the “Publish” button and choose “Queue.” Then click “Queue” when you’re ready to submit the post.

Schedule assigns a post a specific publishing time in the future (based on your timezone you’ve selected in Account Settings). How to schedule a post: 

While creating a new post or editing a draft, click on the clock icon to the right of “Publish” and choose “Schedule.” Enter the time you wish to publish your post, click on “Submit” and then click “Schedule.” 

How to review your queued & scheduled posts: 

On the web, your Queue is available in the user sidebar located on the left side of the screen underneath “Posts.” (On mobile devices, click on the three line icon located on the upper left of your screen to access your user sidebar.)

Note: the “Queue” button will only display if you have one or more queued or scheduled posts.

A CAVEAT: It is not currently possible to queue or schedule posts to Communities. We do intend to add this feature in the future, but during development it was determined that enabling queueing & scheduling to Communities would require additional workflow and use case requirements that would extend development time when this project has already been delayed, and so it was decided to release queue & scheduling for blogs only at the present time. We will add the ability to queue & schedule to Communities soon after the Pillowfort PWA (our next major development project) is complete.
