In an effort to save as many pennies as possible under our new covid life, I canceled my Audible subscription. I can listen to audiobooks via the library so I'm going that route from now on. I'm still working through my selections in the library but wanted to suggest some of my favorites. These are titles I've listened to more than once. I'll folow up with a blog post soon. -Karl Ove Knausgaard "So Much Longing in So Little Space" about Edvard Munch.. and one of my most favorite books from the past few years. I need more Knausgaard in my life. -"Dear Theo" Letters written from Vincent van Gogh to his brother. The narrator may not be for everyone but I enjoy listening to this one. -David Lynch's Catching the Big Fish and Room to Dream (with Kristine McKenna) It's David Lynch on art and life. I love listening to the man's Los Angeles weather reports. Longtime Lynch fan. His YouTube channel is one of my daily favorites so, what more do you need to know? -@brianrutenberg's Clear Seeing Place. I first heard Brian speak on a podcast. His words really resonated with me. Wow. @author.robertmccammon ‘s Swan Song has some of the best post apocalyptic covers for a novel. For me it is hands down a better story then Stephen King’s The Stand. Parts of the story have stuck with me much longer then King’s novel as well. It is a shame @hbo hasn’t picked this up yet, it would be a interesting follow up to #chernobyl If you don’t mind audiobooks I recommend giving it a shot. The narrator for this novel is absolutely amazing! Then the little brown hen will hatch me out a lot of little chicks ! And the little chicks will grow up to be hens, and those hens will lay me dozens of eggs.
