i've had this stirring a while but alpha!joy/beta!yeri do not have a happy ending. i was trying to imagine why would happen if an omega went into heat around joy and her having to resist it
and like yeri knows joy feels the need to mate with an omega and it creates a lot of tension because this is why JOY WAS NOT PART OF THE PLAN
i think yeri might decide that she doesn’t need this kind of stress in her life. as much as she loves joy, she cannot handle the fact that joy will always feel a pull towards omegas
it’s both the easiest and hardest thing yeri’s had to do bc it was killing her inside that she could never satisfy that part of joy but she loves joy so so much
joy did not let yeri go easy either. the break was drawn out and not a pretty sight. joy refused to let yeri break up with her for the longest time.
when it’s finally over, joy does end up sleeping with omegas and is much as that urge inside of her is satisfied, she always feels empty inside because yeri left her
joy feels guilty for being an alpha because of it and she carries that around with her for a long time.
i imagine yeri bringing it up to hurt joy because even though it was her idea to break up, it hurts
i think they definitely throw barbs at each other whenever they’re around each other. i imagine joy starts it a lot because yeri was the one that broke up with her. but i can see yeri bringing it up when things get messy. they both get really petty but it’s because they still love each other so much
