I’m proud to announce that Metanormal’s demo is looking at a summer release on Steam. This video depicts beta gameplay footage of the combat in the game. Although most of the game takes inspiration from visual novels/RPGs, the combat follows a Bullet Hell model. The player attacks by standing on a circle for a few seconds. The enemy will try their best to keep the player off that circle.

There is this white goop that Eriko drips out. I think that is the beta design blood.

This is footage of the cancelled SNES game, Dream. It was the precursor to Banjo-Kazooie and perhaps one of the most sought after pieces of beta footage in gaming. Yuriofwind had done an episode about it once.

You know, for a Super Nintendo game, Dream looked really, really good. The visuals remind me of Donkey Kong Country, which isn't surprising, considering that was the engine that it was running off of. While I do love the Banjo-Kazooie series, it's sad that Dream had never seen the light of day.

Footage of the game I’ve been working for officially about 6 months but actually about a year and a half.  Still extremely rough around the edges, but I’m actually super proud of what I have so far.  On display here is my dynamic music system, which in this demo I set to change the current movement of the music when I destroy enough pots.  Also, this shows a lot of the swordfighting and flight-based mechanics.  Coming sometime in 2016, hopefully.
