ATALANTA: A swift-footed and skilled huntress abandoned at birth and raised in the wilderness by a bear before coming back into contact with civilization during adulthood, she carries the spoils of her many perilous hunts on her back as she treks across the land searching for more.
MEDEA: A sorceress disillusioned by her mistreatment at the hands of the leader of the crew of the Odyssey, despite all she had done to aid him in his quest. Instead, she now seeks to gain the upper hand by restoring her sense of self and striking back at those who harmed her.
So I'm probably the only person on this entire app who cares about this and went way too extra, but...I mashed two video game fixations into one?
I want to eventually give all the HFW crew (+ perhaps then some) their own Personas as a side passion project (taking inspiration from designs from all of the Persona series, but primarily 3 and 5)--these were actually pretty challenging to start but I think I got into the swing of them and I'm happy with how they turned out! First up, the Sobeck sisters :3
Horizontober Day 15 - Curve
Beta liked women. She'd first realized it watching holo-shows and reinforced it when she met Aloy's friends Zo and Alva. Everyone she met after that, in the wilds, in villages, and in cities just confirmed what she already knew: she was attracted to women. They made her cheeks blush and her stomach flutter, especially if she thought they were cute.
She had never actually done anything with those feelings though. That required bravery she didn't have. No matter how competent she had become over the months since the defeat of Far Zenith, that was a bridge too far. Killing a Scrapper? Doable. Sneaking past Watchers? Easy. Camping in a thunderstorm? Wet and loud, but ultimetly fine. Heck, even talking with other people was generally fine. She had learned the art of conversation as readily as she learned to fight with a spear and bow. But talking to a girl she thought was cute? No that was not fine, not in any way fine.
She didn't know what her hang-up was, but she couldn't do it. Every time she tried her tongue turned to stone and she became unable to form words. It didn't make any sense! She'd never really been all that shy, so what was she missing about this? Maybe she just needed time. So she had resigned herself to walk this path alone, hoping that the issue would sort itself out on its own.
Beta's path hit a curve when she and Aloy stopped Chainscrape to shop for supplies and armor on the way to Meridian. There she met Petra Forgewoman. Petra was such an unapologetic and shameless flirt and Beta had almost swallowed her tongue when she heard it. She was incredible. She was bold, brash, competent, and confident. Talking to her was different and energizing, like grabbing a sparker by the prongs. It sent chills along the nerves of her scalp and lit up her veins. Beta couldn't decide if she wanted to be around her or be her. Either way, she wanted to find out.
Did they really need to get to Meridian that fast? Maybe they could stay in Chainscrape for a few days. Or better yet, Beta could stay here and Aloy could go on. Surely Petra needed someone to help her at the forge. And if she learned metalworking it would really help the team. Yes, that was definitely a reason to stay for a few days! Beta made up her mind. Aloy could pick her up on the way back from Meridian.

Fc: “Mocha” by kiwicodesx
it was Varl’s idea
Beta: Is that legal?
Aloy: When there's no guards around, everything is legal.
i just ended the gemini cauldron quest, and i really don't want to go to the base. i don't want to talk to erend or zo and just, knowing varl isn't there. the one person who first accepted aloy as a true friend and didn't discriminate her is now not by her side. i just, i don't want to see that he's not there anymore. varl is such a beautiful character i can't really put into words how awful it is that he's dead:(.
