Beta Project
We have had a few anons asking about this project recently and we so are proud to finally be able to answer all of your guys’ questions! Announcing the new and improved beta page project!!!
What is the project about? This is one of the five projects we are working on right now on the blog. It´s focused on creating a page with the information of beta-readers who are willing to help authors with their phanfics. The goal of this project is to give beta-readers a platform to promote themselves and give authors a way to find the beta that is right for them
What is a beta-reader? A beta is someone who helps an author edit their fic before it is published. Betas are very versatile. They proofread works of fiction under aspects that they and the author have agreed on. They can help with grammar, characters, plot, flow, spellchecking, and so much more. Every beta is different and every author likes their beta to help with different things, the proper pairing of a beta/author is key!!!
How long will this project be going on? This project is ongoing and we will be continuously worked on. The form will stay open indefinitely, unless, of course, we face any unforeseen issues or become backed up and close it temporarily, so you can fill it out at any time! We will be updating the page regularly so keep an eye out for new betas.
How can I be part of this? All you have to do is fill out the form HERE and you will be added to our new betas page!
How do I work with a beta I find on the page? Just contact the beta directly via their preferred form of contact (which you can find listed in their info on the page) and ask them about working on your project. Please do not try and contact the beta through us as we are not the middle man!
NOTE: Please make sure both parties (author and beta) are 100% sure about working on a project together. If there is unease about the duties expected of the beta from either side, please do not continue to work together if it cannot be resolved.
