It feels like a decade of waiting;
Complacent and hopeful,
Waiting for something beautiful
Something that I need to feel full.
Though, that thing will never come.
It never will.
I grew hungry.
I am tired of waiting.
I know these facts and yet I’m too stupid to open my ears to it.
That reality constricts my bones;
Shattering them for every second I waited
Every hour I sat here like a dog
Every time I saw the sun rise and set
And I weep.
And I keep waiting
For nothing to come.
