I’m trying to think of Awakenings!Sabin head canons I haven’t already told you while we bounced ideas for this fic… XD I don’t know if I have any I haven’t vomited in your general direction in the last eight months, so I’ll just name some off!
largely aromantic and asexual - too focused on his studies for all that
when he does cut loose though? he indulges big time - whether its sex, booze, food (think the dining car on the Phantom Train)
deep down feels guilty about leaving Edgar to rule Figaro alone, but has convinced himself it was the The Greater Good
post-Awakenings, he re-opens Duncan’s dojo and takes on a few students each year
as he grows older, he secretly envies Edgar’s happiness with his wife, Terra, and their daughter, Madonna, but he knows he must live his purpose
actually isn’t entirely pleased with Edgar transitioning Figaro to a democracy. is worried that combined with the rumblings from Narshe, this could lead to problems down the road.
becomes an avid gardener, growing all the food his dojo needs, as well as indulging in massive flower beds. watering and weeding are chores used to ‘build character’ in his pupils
