Sorry for not always being the best at sending socking stuffers - I've had a rough few weeks, but I hope that I managed to do your prompt at least a little justice. Prompt: Christmas Day at Dark Castle

Summary: In which Rumple jumps to the wrong conclusions, and Belle tries to be brave.

There was something about dealing with Regina that always rubbed him up the wrong way. Something in her manner just grated at him, made him irritable and even more obnoxious than usual (which, as Rumplestiltskin would be the first to admit, was a considerable achievement). Although in fairness, he supposed that a large part of her abrasive personality was his own fault. Just because his former apprentice had chosen the path that she now walked, it didn't mean that he hadn't provided with a very specific map. So perhaps her rubbing him up the wrong way was just a necessary side-effect of him rubbing her up the wrong way. Not that Rumplestiltskin would ever want to rub Regina up in any way…

This might not make you feel better, depending on your perspective, but I totally understand feeling super anxious about the present being behind everyone else's. But it's coming together almost in spite of my incompetence, so there's hope for everyone. Glad things are going well for you! I'm starting to worry about how far behind I am on my gift, but I do have some faith in my ability to get stuff done when there's a deadline punching me in the face, so we'll see.

It's December and Santa is super excited!! I don't know about you, but December literally equals Christmas in my book. So, just sending a little love your way at the start of the GREATEST month of the year. I hope your week is wonderful! And if end of the semester things are stressing you out, just know that it'll all get done, and it'll all get done super amazingly. I've decided that, and, as Santa, I get a lot of say in these things during the Christmas season. :p

Right now I'm basically freaking out about the fact that I have an interview for the university of my dreams next week, and I don't feel even slightly prepared. Except it's supposed to be the kind of thing that you can thoroughly prepare for. But I'm still freaking out.

But hey, by next Friday evening all that I'll have to worry about is how late I'm being at buying presents, which will be a nice reprieve. 

By the way, while you're exerting your godlike powers of festive fun, could you get us some snow over here in the UK? That would be much appreciated.

And I'm pretty sure that Santa powers automatically reciprocate back onto the user, so now YOU'RE going to have an amazing Christmas as well <3

Less than a month till Christmas! Santa is super excited. School almost out for the semester which means a ton of final papers and tests, but it'll be over soon. I actually won't be able to watch any of Season 4 until the semester ends ,so I'll have to let you know when I see it. :p Also, a little sneak peek: "You keep on about the docks, but I've already told you. I take a walk every morning. There are docks along the way. I'm insulted that you think I haven't any better stories than that."

Crap, I only just got this. Goddammit tumblr! 

But yessss! Not long now. The Christmas holidays are always great, because not only is there Christmas Day itself, it's my birthday a week later. On the bright side, I will never have to go to school on my birthday because bank holiday. On the not so bright side, everyone's already run out of present ideas by then. But hey, there are massive fireworks displays which I choose to believe are purely to celebrate my birth.

I hope you enjoy Season 4 when you get to watch it. There have been bits that I've liked and bits that I haven't liked so much, but hey, that's post-season 1 OUAT for you. I guess it depends on your tolerance threshold for Rumple being a bastard. Personally I don't mind, so long as he does it in style ;)

And ooh, I'm intrigued! I can't wait for the 20th! (Except I can, because I still need to put some major work in on my gift).

Hello from Santa! Snippets are forthcoming, as I've mostly been doing research for it. But I do have a little bitty bit of a sneak peek based on that: "A stranger in a strange land." Anyway, I think I have enough to get started on the meat of the project, so that's my goal this weekend. And ssshh no giftee of mine is anything less than wonderful! I've been so busy with school lately, so I get it. Hope the end of your week is fabulous, and good luck on sorting out your gift! :)

Santa here! I'm sorry to hear that your week has been stressful. I hope whatever it is works itself out quickly. And I totally understand forgetting, I do it all the time, especially when life gets a little out of control. It's one of the reasons I wish Tumblr had a more reliable messaging system. So, I continue to be a shitty giftee who is terrible at replying to things. I don't really have any excuses, just...sorry. I'm actually replying now to procrastinate working on a piece of coursework that's due tomorrow, so I wouldn't exactly say that things are getting less stressful, but I'm crossing my fingers that things will have calmed down by this time next week. 

I'm sure that tumblr will get right onto creating a better message system now that it's made such a big improvement to the site layout [/sarcasm].
