So, my idea has evolved into the concept of having the book be a narrative of a journey to the bottom of a rabbit warren from the top, from the point of view of a rabbit. To do this well, I've thought back to a previous workshop where I cut holes in folded paper to depict reflections in an interesting way, and I think I can apply this to the aforementioned narrative. This is through the use apertures that steadily decrease in size and a colour palette that gets darker the deeper you descend. As a result, I've made a prototype book that tests this idea. It's a 1 page folded book. I like how the use of apertures allows me to select what details I want the reader to see as they progress through the book and also how the first page of every spread shows an aperture that gradually becomes smaller the further through the reader goes, giving them a reminder of how far they've 'travelled'. Because of this, I'm going to proceed with apertures in mind.
