Last night I finalized the deal and like others said, the amazing form got me and I went with hmpk 5. he has a much less curved cadual fin and a very full spread and since i already have multi color females with GREAT form this will only improve it. Plus 16 has a slightly scoop nose and poor dorsal spread. i think with the very full rays of 5 and the slightly SLIGHTLY less full fins of my females they should breed really well into f1's and im super excited to get started on this project! plus who doesnt love metallic bettas? Id love to get some nice greys, yellows and pinks! woop woop!
