"so when they ask who hurt you? I point the finger at myself but I think of you."
So, when they ask who hurt you
Point the finger at myself, but I think of you
It's in the past, but I still do
No, I'm not in heaven yet, but it's a better hell than you
I never talk about you I never even speak your name After all you put me through I know you stole a piece of me
So when they ask, "Who hurt you?" Point the finger at myself but I think of you It's in the past, but I still do No, I'm not in heaven yet, but it's a better hell than you
Hoo!
I can't even think about you I don't even wanna see your face After the shit you put me through I know you'll never change
So when they ask, "Who hurt you?" Point the finger at myself but I think of you It's in the past, but I still do No, I'm not in heaven yet, but it's a better hell than you
And everything you do Couldn't feel the truth 'Til it was raining down on you There's no second chance And we can't make amends When I said I wanna end it You always pretended It was never true (It was never true)
A Better Hell
It's nice to be back, musical friends. This song is absolutely blew my mind away a few weeks back. Bilmuri has just constantly been dropping bangers (outside of the Goblin Hours EP which to me was overall a miss with hits before and after it), and Better Hell is absolutely no different. It's country? It's rock, it's got a mandolin (!) throughout and a feature during the bridge!? It also feels like he's a reached a pinnacle of musical video editing with this too. Hard to imagine how a lawn mowing video hits so hard but this song has definitely (and happily) lodged itself in my brain for a solid week+ now - easily will be up there up in my EOY results. And don't forget to check out his full live videos he uploads on YouTube - i'm always thankful for this kind of content. I hope he continues to make music for a long term - if his merch didn't just absolutely conflict with my style, I'd be supporting this guy a lot more. Maybe I can convince myself to go buy his new pedal (which I have ZERO need for..)
Just discovered this band and it's a total vibe! 🤙🤠🏋️!!! and their from Ohio!
