“Char....” It’s been such a long time since the time of the AEUG. When they were allies fighting alongside one another against the oppressive tyranny of the Titans in the Gryps conflict, ever since what happened with Kamille, and Haman. So many people have been lost since then, and one of those things he had hoped was an end of their rivalry, but even now while they were not in conflict yet, he couldn’t help but feel as though he was facing a wall rather than a friend.

He couldn’t even find the words to start a conversation. Still they knew each other well enough to more or less glean what one another was thinking. Ironic, as that was the Newtype theory in a nutshell, yet here, it wasn’t nearly as peaceful and hopeful as the theory wished it to be...

As the little girl though a tall brunette came running down the hall not to far behind the Haro. “LINA!” He fell to his knees and hugged the little girl tightly. “How many times have I told you not to wander off like that?” He said sternly but not angrily. The brunette was a familiar face to the blond. They had met before but not really for the best of reasons. He looked up at the blond glaring a bit. He then stood holding the girl with his left arm and extended his right hand to the other. “I suppose I should thank you for watching over my little Lina.” He was willing to swallow his pride, wile still being wary of the other.

“This doesn’t mean I forgive all the other shit you’ve done tho. OW.” The little girl had pulled on his long brown hair. “I’m sorry sweety, Papa’s trying.”

It’d been a few years since the Axis Shock. Amuro had separated himself from society for his own sanity. He believed in humanity’s potential, but that didn’t mean it was safe for a newtype like him to be around the Federation, especially one as famous as him. He was already put under watch once, and he wasn’t keen on it happening a second time.

He’d prepared the guest room. It doesn’t get used much, but a rival and friend was coming. He’d called Char to see if he wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. He wondered how much things have changed, and if it was worth going back out there again. 

For now though, Amuro was content with his little cabin in the woods, making little gadgets and gizmos. He was a little ashamed to say he’s made quite the collection of Haros. He’d basically become an old cat lady for Haros.

“Um...  I think I may be lost. You are not who I was looking for. I’m looking for Daddy and Papa, I’m sorry if I interrupted you.” She fidgeted slightly twirling a bit of hair around her finger.

“I want to understand the past more. Mother and father don’t like to talk about any of the wars. I understand why, but...the best way to learn about something is from someone who was there. Even if they’d rather I not know the burdens they had to bear from their experiences....I want to know about the past so I can do my best to make sure it never happens again. I don’t know how I’ll do it, but...” He looks up, bearing a determined expression. “...I know that I want to help, that’s for sure.” 

Lucian paid attention to Char’s story, nodding along. “I see. If I remember correctly...I was three when you were let out. You helped that one ship during the Laplace Conflict, right? The one that served Princess Mineva, yes?”

“There is always a better way then murdering hundreds of millions of people. And where do you go if you think the majority of people are corrupt? Or I guess the better question is, what constitutes being corrupt in your mind?” His expression didn't change, as he spoke to the blond.
