thirteen actively maintains a psychic filter so she can comfortably spend time with jack harkness and sometimes she'll let it fall if she thinks jack needs something she can only provide psychically, even though touching his mind always ends up giving her a migraine after. if that's not love then idk what is okay.

it had been a cruel trick played on them — one escape pod two light years to the left, the other two light years to the right. alonso had ended up on a small moon of a planet he’d never even heard of and too long, too long, had it taken for him to make it to earth, the one planet he could think of, the only one where jack might just be. but he was here now, on earth, in the crowd, pursuing every possible case of alien battle aftermath he could. hundreds of them he’d been to. all failures. but this one, in the middle of a crowded city? jackpot!
