I didn't want this to get lost in the sea of holiday exchanges, but I received the most wonderful and unexpected gift: @teenwerewoofs bound my fic Stuck Between Stations and @bettertasting did custom cover art for it. I was not expecting this, and when the box arrived I messaged Bri "What did you do???" and then just melted when I opened it and looked through the book.
Check out these details and the art and everything. If you haven't read it, it's a time-loop fic set during the Wild Hunt, and the section breaks and lettering on everything is so subtly perfect for this, and the art is from a scene that just loved writing so much and seeing it as art for this is just... no words. I'm still in such awe of this.
If you've oohed and awed over this, go send @teenwerewoofs and @bettertasting some love. This is seriously the most wonderful thing I have ever been gifted, and the two talented nerds are too good to me 💜💜💜
TEAM ALPHA:
At This Truth We Have Arrived Author: Wreck Rating: E Words: 9,212 Summary: "After years of exacting revenge on the Argents for the murder of Laura, Peter returns to Beacon Hills only to be confronted by the truth that the pack has moved on without him. But the fact that everything he once knew has changed isn't necessarily a bad thing; not when there is someone like Stiles who is so full of possibilities. OR as my WIP notes for this fic say: "Peter is curious. They do something. Murder murder. Sex sex."
TEAM RED:
Ancient and Unknown Galaxies Creator: bettertasting Type of Work: Art Summary: "Art for “At This Truth We Have Arrived” by Wreck"

So, the most amazing @bettertasting has been working on a selfie series for each of the pilots, and she sent me her Trowa WIP, and then this conversation happened:
wreck: Omg I just thought of a way this could go wonderfully NSFW and I may write it into a ficlet bettertasting: the selfies? wreck: this one in particular... it's the placement of the other arm. Like. What if he was holding someone's head down and taking this pic as they went down on him... bettertasting: that...could be a thing
So, here's what we made:
Paring: 3x2 (Trowa Barton/Duo Maxwell) Rating: Explicit Tags: Oral Sex, Semi-Public Sex, Dirty Talk, Fanart included
“It’s tragic that I’m the only one who can see you like this,” Trowa continues. “What would the others think if they saw you like this? Would they be jealous that I get to use your mouth?”
Read more (and most importantly, see the art) on AO3
Thanks, hon!! 💜💜💜
“Attracted” actually appears 3x so far in my current WIP, but I wouldn’t want to give all that away, so here’s one of them...
“...and two, he felt a flash of desire in his gut, and realized that last night wasn’t just about seeing his two friends fuck, but that he was still attracted to Heero, and probably Duo as well.”
Thanks, dollface 💜💜💜
26. Is there anything you’ve wanted to write, but you’ve been too scared to try?
IDK if too scared is the right word, but sometimes I am weary of joining a new fandom... I have the first part of a Stranger Things OT3 fic written, but decided I didn’t want to finish it/publish it, and I had an idea for a Raven Cycle Gansey/Ronan BDSM!AU that never got past the paragraph that popped in my head...
28. How well do you handle criticism when it comes to your writing?
I’m lucky that I don’t really get any unsolicited concrit. I’m also old AF and been in fandom a long time, so when I do get the odd not nice comment, I am pretty good an just ignoring it. These days I usually participate in smaller fandom corners, where most people “know” each other, and that helps, too.
33. Is there anything you wish your audience knew about your writing or writing process?
I don’t really have a process. I write when the inspiration hits me, which is why longer, chaptered fics and I don’t get along. Sometimes this is writing 8 pages in a doc at a time, sometimes this is scribbling a line here or there in a notebook during work, sometimes is a bullet fic in a chat...I like to write things that amuse me or my friends, and at the end of the day I’m writing for me, and it’s just a bonus if it resonates with anyone else.
@bettertasting IDK if I've ever told you this is the [tentative] name of this fic, but it's so perfect that this is the one that you picked because this is my 2x3 side story in the Our Love 'verse.
When we've talked about this fic before, I've mentioned that I want it to be the most lighthearted of the Our Love fics and that I just want it to be a slice of life. Our Love itself is the big action story with the OT3 endgame, You Find Shelter is the introspective prequel that is really a Trowa character study, and I picture the yet-to-be-written 1x2 as a reflective piece on where they are today and where they were before the OT3. And so, we need something silly in the middle, and for me, that's the dynamic I've built for 2x3.
And just for you, here is a whole scene from this fic <3 <3 <3
“You know,” Duo says later, sprawling out in a chair at the kitchen table, “when you said that you wanted to get the more senior agents involved in the training program, I honestly didn’t think it would be this fun.” He slides beers across to Trowa and Wufei before twisting the cap off his own and taking a swig. He has his paintball jumpsuit unbuttoned down to his waist, but he has some random splatters of neon paint across his neck and in his hair that stand out even more against his black tank top. Trowa accepts the beer gratefully, raising it in a small salute, as he always does. He’s absolutely pristine, except for a green splotch on the back of neck that Duo may have accidentally transferred during a stealth kiss in the elevator up to the Restricted Floor, and not actually fallout from paintball. Wufei stares at both of them with a look that Duo has come to learn means that a lecture is coming. He secretly takes pride in evoking this response in his friend. “Well, Maxwell,” Wufei says slowly, in a tone that is an odd mix of fond and exasperated, “that’s because you were only supposed to give your team a strategic plan, not lead the charge. Did you see Noin and Zechs running around out there with their team?” “First of all, my agents all had our eyes on the prize, Chang.” “Trainee Agents,” Wufei tries to interject. Duo ignores him and continues, “And we didn’t stop to identify the casualties as we took out the whole Blue Team.” “Casualties?! It was a team building, 'congratulations you finished the program,' round of paintball!” “Secondly,” Duo points his beer at Wufei, “it’s not my fault if you were not clear with your instructions.” Wufei opens his mouth, closes it, then gives Trowa a look that says can you believe this shit? Trowa just shrugs. “In Duo’s defense––” “Thank you!” Duo interrupts. “See, Wufei––” “In Duo’s defense,” Trowa says again, louder, “you know that following directions is not one of his strong subjects. You should have taken that into consideration.” “That’s why I partnered him with you,” Wufei says through clenched teeth. “You forgot an important detail,” Trowa says, casually taking a drink of his beer. Wufei sighs. “What’s that?” “I happen to be a big fan of shenanigans,” Trowa deadpans. Duo tries to hide his laughter behind a cough, and ends up sliding off his chair when he can’t hold it in any longer. Wufei rolls his eyes and drains his beer. “I’ve had enough of this for now,” he says, pointing between Duo and Trowa. “I’m going to get ready at Sally’s. Please be on your best behavior tonight.” “Aw, don’t be like, Wufei,” Duo calls after him as he stalks out of the kitchen. Duo pulls himself back into the chair and leans over to Trowa, “Are we still pretending that we don’t know that Wufei moved out?” Trowa just shrugs again. “As I said, I like a good shenanigans.” And Duo dissolves into giggles again.

6. What is your darkest fear about writing?
That no one will read it. That's pretty much it. That I'm putting my work out there and it's just gone in the void.
36. They say to Write What You Know. Setting aside for a moment the fact that this is terrible advice…what do you Know?
A bunch of random shit that would absolutely kill at bar trivia: movie trivia and quotes, punk and indie music of the 90s, a lot about roller coasters for reasons. (and you know, non-silly things like family and love and friendship, but mostly the other stuff)
37. If you were to be remembered only by the words you’ve put on the page, what would future historians think of you?
Wow, she was really invested in these pairs of dudes falling in love over and over.
