you’re right it is lore but it’s not really developing the story or furthering the plot, it’s a filler/slice of life

I bought "Solve For i" and I'm love you??? I was wondering if you have any plans for Mikey and Gemma, whether just bits and pieces on your blog or another book? (that seems ridiculous to ask since you just barely finished it)

I’ll definitely write a load of one-shots about them, and they’re minor characters in Min’s third book. In terms of a book focusing on Gemma and Mikey... I have no plans at this stage? Not to say I’ll never do it, but I told the story I wanted to tell with them for now. 

If I decide there’s more to say about Gemma or Mikey later, I might consider it!

Honestly, if I’m in danger of writing any other sort of spin-off at this stage, it would be about Henry. However, that would likely be a book about a non-queer character, so... idk, I probably won’t. He gets a huge, major part in Min’s third book and I might be finished with him at the end of that, too :)

I have thought about a few little one-shots I want to write with Gemkey, though - inlcluding when Mikey goes back to retrieve that pesky tie (heee), and Gemma at a soccer game. ....she has no idea about soccer and people keep talking to her like she does.

It’s important to understand that fluctuations do happen in depression. A lot of times following an episode of depression you may have a relapse (return of full symptoms after a partial recovery) or even a recurrence (return of full symptoms after you have fully recovered). Unfortunately your chance of relapse or recurrence is influenced by the number of prior episodes. The more episodes you had, the greater your chance of having them again. However there are three things you can do to help reduce the intensity and, hopefully, duration of an episode. 1. Know your triggers (events or circumstances, either good or bad, that may cause you distress); 2. Learn your warning signs (changes in your mood, thoughts, behaviours, routine...); 3. Develop an action plan (work with your therapist to develop strategies to start managing an episode as soon as possible). Notice that all three steps are different to each person. It’s important you identify your own. __________________________________________ My triggers: a big change in my daily routine; too many unwanted responsibilities; failed goals and sometimes even good news. My warnings: irritability without a valid reason; difficulty in sleeping; lack of concentration; difficulty in taking decisions (as basic as what to wear); avoiding people... My action plan: whenever I notice some of my red flags showing up I start focusing on gradually neutralize them. How? Trying to see every situation I want to avoid as an opportunity to evolve. __________________________________________ This helps me not to feel so disoriented, therefore fighting the episode in a more conscious and effective way. well, it took her about 2 hours to make a 30-minute meal, she had to ask us which ingredients belonged in the fridge, and she did manage to burn her hand on a pot, but nothing exploded and it tasted pretty good!
