Between musical numbers at a recent Cattanooga Cats concert as part of a tour of culturally-depraved rural backwaters
KITTY JO, somewhat casually: I just hope that you're enjoying the show so far ... even if, as it seems, we feel some satisfaction in entertaining you all!
COUNTRY: Still, one thing I have to acknowledge about Kitty Jo: She's a rather wonderful gal, and the way she makes biscuits and gravy at midnight, where we usually hatch out our latest designs and schemes--it just makes you wonder how quickly the ideas can come forth!
KITTY JO: And you can bet your sweet red-eye gravy and grits on that point!
[Groove goes into "rimshot" mode]
SCOOTS: I do acknowledge this is a little early for what I'm about to do ... so would my good friend and boon mentor, Amy Catline, please come forward to the stage! [Whereupon Amy Catline, to the accompaiment of wolf whistles and catcalls, makes her presence known ... and once on stage, Amy and Scoots exchange words and conclude with a kiss as draws swoons from the audience]
SCOOTS, reflecting on that which just ensueth: Isn't it wonderful to know she who showed me the beauty of love and sexuality at an otherwise trying time in my life turns up every so often in the audience ... so let's give Amy Catline a hand!
