I know I’m a day late, but I still want to wish everyone Happy Book Lovers Day! For me, although an avid reader since childhood, my love for reading really started with Ramona Quimby. I lived vicariously through her, since my parents were so strict! I loved her imagination, her feisty ness, her spunk, her relationships with her parents/Beezus/ her cat/her friends. I loved that she lived how she wanted to, no rules applied!! Beverly Cleary opened up a new world for me, a world I wanted to be in and live in, hence I read every single book, repeatedly. Ramona was my way out, to do the things I wish I could of done, say the things I wanted to say. She was my imaginary friend.
