Today L had decided to take his job into his own hands. The work he needed doing could be done by no-one else, at least not to the extent he required, and so he had set out to do it himself. His usual jeans and white shirt had been replaced with black trousers and a suit shirt, a tie hanging around his neck. With the briefcase in hand he looked like any other business man, except the briefcase held important papers he needed to go back and analyse. 

But then he walked into someone and had to turn to apologise, interrupting his thoughts completely. "My apologies, I was not looking where I was going."
