It’s strange, how the mere expression in Camilla’s gaze and the quiet murmur of Nah’s name brings a swell of guilt, and she finds herself gnawing absently on her lip. She’s not used to being worried over in such a way--well, outside of her parents, but aren’t they supposed to worry about her well-being?--and frankly, she’s not sure what to do aside from pushing against it, as she had.

Nah’s gaze drops to the floor, unable to find a proper response. To simply reject Camilla’s care seemed...cruel, and Nah has no desire to hurt the other, and yet there’s a part of her that all but screams for independence, for pulling her own weight and not needing to rely on another for anything.

“I do know,” she concedes at last. Though she doesn’t know the princess particularly well, she’s seen the near-constant state of concern in her expression these days, the way Camilla seems to hover ‘round those she cares for to ensure that no harm comes to them. “And I guess it would be unfair for me to ask you to change who you are. But I’m not a child, either, and you don’t need to treat me like I’m fragile. That’s all.”
