bex_tk: Today was a big day for the Los Angeles LGBT Center. To celebrate 50 Years of Queer, they cut the ribbon on the all new Anita May Rosenstein Campus today in West Hollywood!! The new campus will have all new housing for Seniors and for homeless LGBTQ youth. I can not adequately put into words the joy I feel to be a part of the history made today. I’m so proud. Nope, still don’t need dysphoria to be trans. I have consulted several gender experts on this, and anyone who’s commenting on my pictures telling me that I’m hurting the trans community can just run the fuck away.

If you’re telling me I’m harming the queer community, the trans community, you’re wrong. The thing that harms the trans community is trans people telling other trans people how to be trans. Telling them they are invalid, for varying reasons, because they identify differently than another person.

It’s not okay. It’s just not.

Now, on the topic of, like, ‘transtrenders’ or any of that... bullshit. Look, I don’t know. All I know is no one would choose to be trans, you are who you are, and if you identify as trans, you’re trans.

Some trans people aren’t exactly uncomfortable in the body they’ve been given. But they are comfortable identifying as a different gender, including nonbinary gender. And they are just as valid as any other trans person.

But do me a favor. Stop commenting on my photos saying you are disappointed in me for saying these things. Because I’m right. I know I’m right. And the people who matter, know that I’m right. So if you wanna be on the wrong side of history, that’s fine. Just do it off my pictures.

Actually, I’m gonna name some sources on this. Follow @elierlick @becomingdakota @blurchur @elliotfgf @queerloveasqueercare for more. Some of these sources include varying gender studies professors whose messages have been relayed by their students and varying trans people who have actually lived this existence and studied.

And, also, I’m valid.
