Mayblade 2026 Day 4: Future
"Future Faith" VS "Future Resolve"
Drawing these two Clock Bladers from differrent generations in Faust's Domain [Spiral Dimension] fighting for their outcomes to appeared. The reason why Eight Kurosu could see his resolve to win in beybattle while Faust had a faith for eternity from time beyond time right on his hand back in Masters/Explosion. (don't ask me who will win or something.) .
Eight Kurosu : "I don't know who you are, but your time is finally assured here!!"
Faust : "prove it then, if you can resolve your future". . Metal Fight Beyblade by @takafumi-adachi Beyblade X by @homurakawamoto @hikarumuno
mayblade 2025
day 25 ~ reflection
i think starbreaker should've had the chance to beat ziggurat with metal bats as a form of team bonding. just a lil bit.
1.) Toby
Oh man. Where do I even begin...
i.) The creators of Beyblade Metal Masters did a fantastic job with adding the idea of perspective. Masamune traveled to Japan from America to become the #1 blader (to help his ill friend), and ended up staying there to be a member of Gan Gan Galaxy. He believed that going away was needed to help Toby, while Zeo had a different take on it. From Zeo’s perspective, Masamune acted selfish and abandoned his friends. Zeo began training locally at HD Academy in order to help Toby (since Ziggurat offered to cure his illness).
This whole other side to the Beyblade story that follows this group of three friends was brilliant because it showed how different people battle for different reasons.
ii.) Toby’s transition into Faust was such a twist in the series, and I thought it was so cool to see the Arrangement process change someone so dramatically. Not to mention, Twisted Tempo is my favorite bey of all time. I love defensive beys, and Tempo was specifically designed based off of the Beyblade World Championships data. Tempo’s color scheme, clock-like pattern, and defensive power enthralled me.
Getting Faust to turn back into Toby was such a crucial moment in the series, and the use of nostalgic memories and shared goals between Zeo, Toby, and Masamune brought a lot of emotion to the last few episodes of Metal Masters.
iii.) Toby in Metal Fury is so cool. He cut his hair to show that he “cut ties” with Faust, but was forced to keep the grey hair because his Arrangement came with physical alterations. I think it’s rad that Spiral Lyra sort of matches Toby’s aesthetic of monotone and bleak colors.
Side note: I believe Toby and Zeo compliment each other quite well because Zeo adds color to Toby’s life. This is shown by the brighter colors he wears compared to Toby’s mellow tones.
iv.) Toby is strong even without Tempo. He and Zeo gave Tsubasa a run for his money when training at the Dungeon Gym. I think Spiral Lyra is extremely unique (with the bey’s off-center gravity), and consequently, Toby is one of a kind as well :)
He’s one of those characters that makes me feel better when he’s around, and I’m not completely sure why. He has this calming presence, and I love how fast he was befriended by Gingka and the gang. I could go on and on about the things I like about Toby, but I think I’ll stop it there for right now.
HUGE thank you to @tategamis for sending me an ask for this short series! Feel free to send me asks anytime if you want more stuff like this :)
Last thing: I’m actually going to be cosplaying Toby at Anime Expo this summer!
