It's wild to watch the phrase "tumblr sexyman" morph into "man that tumblr thinks is sexy," because when I first saw the phrase come into use, I always saw it used in reference to the phenomenon of "when presented with a wide array of fictional characters, tumblr will always pick the skinny white man to obsess over, and if the fan-favorite character has no canonical human appearance, the fandom will inevitably create a popular fanon of the character as as a skinny white man."

When I hear "tumblr sexyman," I think of Cecil Night Vale being constantly depicted as a skinny white man instead of literally anything else. I think of the background character white men who get elevated over protagonists that are women, people of color, or otherwise not the white man power fantasy.

"Tumblr sexyman" is, like. An insult. I DON'T want any of my blorbos to win a "tumblr sexyman" poll. "Tumblr sexyman" is the exact opposite of what I want my own OCs to be. If any of my characters ever get called "tumblr sexyman," I will have to immediately re-evaluate myself and the art I'm making.

question came to mind of "do vestals have accents". there's a lot of questions regarding language in general because if there's one thing this show has in common with beyblade it's not acknowledging the language barrier, and this applies to aliens too, but i mean they proably would right. multiple even, considering we're talking about an entire planet. it is interesting too how these planets all only seem to have one country. personally in my headcanon vestal was entirely conquered centuries ago by one particular country and it's only now gonna start coming apart (for the best perhaps) after the monarchy dips. dunno what's up with gundalia and roteldia though

i like to think my freezeria and mocharia runs are 1. set in the same universe, and 2. neither of those fucking establishments are run by papa louie. one of them is run by a death cult and the other one is run by straight up aliens (everyone assumes the "authentic gundalian style" is a bit but no it is run by aliens). they might be related but i don't know how

defenders of the core is really interesting conceptually actually. i don't remember if i mentioned it in my post about it but it's very funny to me how despite earth getting invaded by vestal most npcs are like. mostly just inconvenienced by it?? like "damn i can't get to my job" or something like that. where the fuck is like any country's military. like it's explained why the bakugan defenders can't do anything but why are children the only ones getting involved. i know hex has bakugan but i highly doubt vestals are bulletproof. "what if the protags just straight up lost" is not a concept i'd expect a funny licensed game to tackle but i guess it happened. i'd ask if any fanfic has ever tackled that concept but clearly not otherwise i would've probably seen it while looking for mira content.
