Why do beyblade characters hair just keep getting progressively bigger with each season. Not even in the "oh it's a little longer" no there's ADDITIONAL MASS on that head. It's taking up more air particles than it used to. The hair grew at least 2 inches in diameter. It's thick and FLUFFY.
For example, ranjiro. My friend called him broomhead. Or Shu, he chopped it after turbo but then it decided to be more fluffy than straight?? Free's hair just got bigger.
Hikaru has a dang wind turbine on his head, how much does that hairspray cost buddy??
Beyblade rant: Slightly underrated moment, but remember when Max rushed off at once to rescue Tyson and Daichi from the shady part of NYC as soon as Kenny informed him about it? And then put a halt to Rick taking their blades?
One of the many million instances (skydiving, puppy rescue with beyblade, escaping a collapsed building etc.) when Max was just so much more badass than the other characters on the show. The guy is anything but a sensitive little flower who cries a lot, unlike what many perceive his character. Max is a sensitive looking flower, yes. But one which will devour its prey if it has to.
What type of Boa fan would I be if I DIDN'T make an in depth character analysis?
1. The beginning
First Boa appearance, he's some random NPC used as a plot device. He's just one of many others, working themselves to brink. We thought "Oh, guess we're never seeing him again" WRONG!
He works his way up the ranks of the Snake Pit and makes his way back into plot relevancy through sheer willpower. Bravo!!And that's not it, he's apparently Red Eye's number one fan at this point. So, when Red Eye leaves, he follows suit.
He doesn't believe in the Snake Pit, he believes in Red Eye. Boa follows Red Eye around, trying to prove himself as worthy to be Red Eyes protoge. But he's not looking at the right person. He should be trying to prove himself to himself first.
Boa works hard and it pays off! He defeats Ren Wu and gains admiration from his IDOL. On a lighter note, Boa seems like a puppy following his owner (who less than loves him but uhhih).
2. Character development begins
After Red Eye's loss to Lui, Boa was confused. The narrative of Red Eye being the strongest Blader in the world, a narrative that he followed almost RELIGIOUSLY just.. Shattered. Gone. He feels lied to, by Red Eye and Ashtem. (What Shu/Red eye feels here is a rant for another dayyy)
During the World Cup, Boa confronted Ashtem. He's not dumb after all. He saw through it. He knows about the Snake Pit operation, the intentions and how harmful it is.

Whether Boa wanted to or not, he learned friendship is meaningless, from Red Eye and the Snake Pit. In a dog eat dog world, why make a pact when you can dominate?
Red Eye and Boa didn't have much of a friendship. It was closer to Boa taking notes from Red Eye and then implementing it into his own work.
3. Red Eye/Boa parallel, where they split.
Eventually, he loses. His self worth is already that of a dead rat. Boa never could live up to Red Eyes reputation. Loosing after all that hard work. He's just angry. At the world, at himself.
Much like Red Eye.
He almost destroyed his bey, just like Red Eye. Key difference is that he accepted Valts help.

Hes still a bit of a tsundere but he understands that power isn't everything. Boa now understands what it means to Beyblade. Boa finally accepts himself.
4. His inner conflict
Boa is constantly fighting his inner demons. The ones that tell him he's not good enough. He has a.. Less than desirable relationship with Bahamut, the only scene we see of them communicating (outside of battle) is Bahamut making Boa prove his worth.
Boa doesn't even feel worthy of his Beyblade. Finally, he learns to listen to his bey. They learn to become real partners.
5. Overall character traits
Boa is fairly intelligent, yet easily guided. If he falls under bad influences then he's cooked but if picks the right people to follow then he's all good. He's also just talented and strong in general. Unlike most he's not completely power hungry,,,,
I'm not sure if there's anything else left to say uhhhuhhhhh.. My brain is fried.

Quick rant I've been meaning to get on about, Shu and his gosh darn shoulder from season one. (This turned into more of a character analysis but uhhhh)
Quick recap: Shu sprained his shoulder but refused the doctors order of resting to continue the tournament and continues to sustain a life long injury as the warned.
It's mild but it shines through sometimes. Moment that comes to mind is literally the following season where shu, yet again, sprained it cause he was expending too much power. Just say ur a tryhard without saying ur a tryhard.
But still, this IS a very character building arc. Shu is very power hungry, it's part of who he is. Might correlate with him raising himself somehow?? He strives for the attention of others since he never got in his youth (as if he still isn't young lmao)
Another thing with shu's nonexistent family, no one could've warned him or looked after him. The only person he was talking about it with was the doctor. That dude can't be checking on Shu every day like a parental figure would!! Shu was like?? 11 I think??? He can cook, yeah, but he can't look after his own well being!
Back on topic, I'm not saying that him being taking this course of action is ooc, far from it. This moment really solidified Shu as character and was great setup for his arc in season 2, plus the little call back. I'm just talking about how him being blindsided by his power struggle frustrates me so much I'M ACTUALLY CRASHING OUT RN???
SHU ILY BUT PLEASEEEEEE 💔💔 I see NOBODY talking about this either?? Are we just gonna push past that.???
In summary, Shu strives for the attention he never got leading him to become self destructive. The effects are life long.
Quick note: next rant might be about Valt glazers downplaying Aiger. Tiktok is the worst place to look of media literacy when it comes to bbb.
As much as I love Shu and his Red Eye arc, some fans still seem to hate the fact he lost to Valt and called it "MC plot armor" which is FAR from the case.
Red Eye was a very, very powerful blader, yes. But he wasn't fighting for the right reasons. We literally saw his motivations slowly wear down. He wasn't blading for much in particular. His only goal being "to be the best".
Valt on the other hand, had so much on the line. His friends, family, and BC Sol were counting on him. But most importantly, his best friend. He was fighting to get Shu back. He had so much at stake, his goals outweighed Red Eyes by a large margin and it's hard to watch people not seeing that.
They tied over 15 times. But in the end, it was Valts (and Shus lack of) motivation that earned him the win.
I want to comment that Shu's shoulder also contributed quite a bit. I'll probably rant about that sometime but the gist is Shu's power hungry nature led him to sustaining a lifelong injury.
